An update from Jamerika …
I am still on Cloud 9! My husband Greg and I have been married for two weeks now. We are settling into married life – running a household, learning about each other (still:), and writing thank you cards to everyone who made our special day happen!
When I ponder on my life beforehand, it seems like yesterday but yet a lifetime away. I think back to the girl I was and how much I wanted to be ‘a part of the world.’ Being married has provided me with a sense of belonging I have trouble putting into words (in a good way). My being is filled with such peace and joy. It is my hope particularly foster children know they are loved AND belong.
I thank you for reading and sharing in the goodness of my story. I hope it inspires you to find the good in yourself and others.
