Eileen & Callie’s Place hosts 1st Community Resource Fair

Saturday, August 5, 2017 – 1pm to 4pm – Dr. Natalie Ellington, Founder and Executive Director of Eileen & Callie’s Place will host The 1st Community Resource Fair to be held at Kent Regional Library, 212 2nd Ave. North, Kent, Washington.  Participating in this free event where the Kent and surrounding community will gather to explore resources that will help them “…live life well!”  are many of the area’s prominent providers of essential life-affirming  services. Organization representatives from medical service providers Valley | Cities Behavioral  Health Center; UW Medicine | Valley Medical Center; Apple Health Core Connections, and Kent Public Health Center are expected to greet community members and offer information  and insight as to what’s available. Education entities such as Green River College,and Bellevue College are set to engage potential recruits and answer questions as to the rich programs available through their respective institutions. Youth focused programs offered by YearUp and C2 Education as well as the resources available through ANEW and Escape To Peace all aid our community in promoting awareness and stability in difficult times as does The Auburn Food Bank in times of need. Another participating organization combining education with exploration, the Michael P. Anderson Memorial Aerospace Program at the Museum of Flight, sponsors a youth program offered to 5th -8th  grade students (at no cost to participants} that teaches about science and engineering in hands-on state-of-the-art labs and simulators. Also represented will be Denali Federal Credit Union. This great event is all happening in coordination with the Kent County Library System.
